Encouraging alumni to pen down a 1500-2000 word self-reflection is no small feat, especially considering the pressures of modern work life. The task becomes even more daunting when you're seeking contributions from senior alumni. And then, to repeat this endeavor every week... phew! Nevertheless, we've consistently achieved this for the past three years. Shrey shares the tale behind our "IIFMight in Focus" series, a testament to our determination and success...
As the “IIFMight in Focus” series reaches a significant milestone, we take a moment to reflect on the captivating narratives that have graced our pages throughout the years. What began as a platform to showcase the remarkable accomplishments of our alumni has evolved into a vibrant forum, highlighting the rich diversity of the IIFM alumni community. This series was the brainchild of Santosh Singh, who brought Rishi and me (Shrey) on board. It was natural for us to collaborate, as we come from successive batches at IIFM and have known each other closely since 2006. Some of us, having worked together as well.
For the IIFMight in Focus series, as we shifted into the background, Santosh Singh (PFM 06), Rishi Prakash (PFM 07), and I (Sreyamsa Bairiganjan- PFM 08) embraced a refreshing change—the enthusiasm of our current students. Their fresh perspectives and innovative ideas have infused the IIFMight in Focus series with renewed energy.
Despite stepping into the wings, Santosh, Rishi, and I, Shrey, continue to propel this initiative forward. We provide sturdy backup support for our current students, who breathe fresh life into the IIFMight in Focus series with their vibrant energy and innovative ideas. This transition has recharged the series, now humming with the dynamic pulse of our diligent student team working behind the scenes.
Allow us to introduce the latest faces from the PFM 2022-24 batch, the driving force behind the scenes: Kamalpreet Kaur Dhawan, Gokul Gopal Iyer, Shri Sankari VM, and Khyati Patwa. They work diligently behind the scenes, upholding the essence of the IIFMight in Focus series through their commitment to sharing impactful stories from our alumni community.
Additionally, we take immense pride in Rajnish Singh from the PFM 2019-21 batch, who has consistently been one of our shining stars for 2.5 consistent years, demonstrating unwavering commitment. Rajnish was the first student we brought on board to help with this initiative, and he has been instrumental in supporting new students each year and consistently working to get new profiles and content for the series along with Rishi, who continues to reach out for profiles with relentless follow-ups and reminders! Rajnish has remained a pillar over the years through his dedication and leadership.
There have been instances when it has taken him almost 18 months to get the profile after starting the first contact with our alums, so it has been an exciting journey of persistent efforts for our team to achieve what we had intended when we started it in July 2020 and thankfully we have stayed consistent all through the past three years. His batchmate, Christi Kesh, has also provided invaluable support since September 2022, enriching our initiative with her contributions.
Furthermore, Rishabh from the PFM 2021-23 batch has remained steadfast in his support for the last two years, infusing the series with enthusiasm and securing his first profile for the series. Let us not forget Nikita from the PFM 2020-22 batch, whose dynamic presence significantly enhanced our initiative during her one-year tenure. Ayushi Dwivedi, a peer from Rishabh’s batch (PFM 2021-23), has greatly enriched the initiative with her invaluable contributions and not to mention she also managed to get her first alumni profile recently. More power to them!
Now, let’s delve into the numbers. We proudly announce that we have reached a milestone of 154 profiles on the IIFMight journey since our first post on 14 July 2020. As we navigate the evolving challenges, our commitment remains firm in capturing and disseminating the diverse and inspiring journeys of our IIFM’ites. We eagerly explore new avenues and support from the current batches to achieve this.
As we celebrate our third anniversary, we extend an invitation to current students and recent graduates to contribute to this vibrant platform. We encourage you to engage with our esteemed alumni to bring in their unique stories and experiences that define the very essence of IIFM.
